1. What is PitBullTax Institute?

PitBullTax Institute is an educational resource which was created for CPAs, EAs and Tax Attorneys and support staff who want to combine their tax resolution knowledge in theory, practice and cutting-edge technology. This educational resource will give you the opportunity to gain and upgrade your Tax resolution knowledge, earn your CPE/CE credits, and increase your business efficiency and profitability.

2. Do I have to provide my PTIN to continuing education providers?

Yes, you do. We need your PTIN in order to properly report your CPE/CE credits to NASBA and the IRS. This information will be displayed on your online PTIN account in the future. In the event that you do not provide us with your PTIN, we will not be able to report your credits to the reporting agencies.

3. How do I know that I am taking CE from an IRS approved provider?

You should look at the public listing. Approved providers may also show the “IRS Approved Continuing Education Provider” logo on their websites. In addition, all providers are issued a Provider Number from the IRS. Your certificate should also contain a program number.

4. Do you offer refunds or allow for cancellations?

In the event a Live group course (conference) must be cancelled by the attendee the registration fees may be used for another conference within the same calendar year but cannot be carried over to future years. If attendee did not cancel or change the registration, then the registration fees will be forfeited.

However, if you desire you may convert the registration fees to a dollar amount and keep it on your account for use in the other fields of study. If you choose to cancel and prefer a refund, the following policies apply:

  • Cancellation requests received 60+ days prior to the conference: 75% refund or in-house credit.
  • Cancellation request received 31-59 days prior to the conference: 50% refund or in-house credit.
  • Cancellation request received 30 days or less prior to the conference. Full registration fee will be forfeited or in-house credit.

In the event a Live group course (conference) must be cancelled by the Negotiation Technologies, LLC dba PitBullTax Institute your registration fee for that individual Live group course (conference) will be refunded in full. We will also reschedule the Live group course (conference). All attendees will be notified by phone and/or email.

5. How many continuing education hours must EA obtain?

Enrolled Agents must obtain 72 hours of Continuing Education credits every three years. A minimum of 16 hours must be earned per year, two of which must be on ethics. Enrolled Agents must use an IRS approved CE provider.

6. What are the recordkeeping requirements for EAs?

You must retain the following records for four years:

  • The name of the CE Provider organization;
  • The location of the program;
  • The title of the program, approval number received for the program, and copy of the program content;
  • Written outlines, course syllabi, textbook, and/or electronic materials provided or required for the program;
  • The date(s) attended;
  • The credit hours claimed;
  • The name(s) of the instructor(s), discussion leader(s), or speaker(s), if appropriate;
  • The certificate of completion and/or signed statement of the hours of attendance obtained from the continuing education provider

7. Are Meals Included in the Conference Registration Fee?

Breakfast for conference attendees is served each morning prior to class and light snacks are provided twice a day. Attendees are on their own for lunch and dinner. On the first day you will be invited for a special welcome reception (show, drinks and appetizers are included).

8. I'm Looking for a specific topic that I don't see listed. Will you offer it soon?

We endeavor to keep our course topics up-to-date and relevant. If you don't see a course you are looking for, please submit your idea via Contact Us page.

9. When and how will I receive my Certificate of Completion?

You will receive your certificate on the last day of the conference after the program is over. Once certificates have been issued, you can also access them on in PitBullTax Institute customer account.

10. What is the recommended attire at your conferences?

We want you to be comfortable at our conferences, so casual is recommended. In order not to be cold, be ready to have with you a warm jacket. Our main goal is for you to receive quality education comfortably!

11. When will I get my IRS Approved CE credits?

We report your CE credits to the IRS within 48 hours of the time a course is successfully completed. If it has been longer than 48 hours and your CE credit has not yet posted to your IRS account, please let us know by email info@pitbulltax.com or call us 954-748-2855.

12. How can I earn CPE/CE for webinars (Group Internet Programs) and self-study courses?

Webinar Courses
Webinars (Group Internet Based) courses are delivered to a group as a web conference, at a specific time. Instructors provides live presentation, registrants participate via poll questions. To receive full credit for online CPE courses NASBA and the IRS require that you attend at least 50 minutes and participate in 3 poll questions for every credit hour.

Self-Study Courses
Self-study courses are web-based and can be completed at any time, so long as you complete the course within 1 year of registration. To receive full CPE credit for self-study programs, NASBA and the IRS require that you view the entire course, complete the review questions throughout the course, and score 70% or greater on the final exam.
